HOW HAS INTENTIONAL TRAVEL IMPACTED OUR ALUMNI?
"Santa Barbara will always be a place of memories and echoes of laughter in my head. The Seven Falls hike not only allowed me to step out of my comfort zone, but also allowed a new communication throughout our class. We struggled at first, but then we found our strength. I saw beauty in both the water holes and the care of my classmates. When we served the people who didn’t have homes, my heart felt like it was the one being served. During chapel at the Rescue Mission, my soul felt alive. While hearing the worship songs be sung, I listened to the lady clap in front of me; it was beautifully off beat. I could see love and gratitude flowing out of her, and the room seemed to brighten. Each year Santa Barbara holds a different experience, and every year I come back wishing I never had to leave."

"I have continued to notice that I always come home different, and those that go on this trip always go home with at least a spark, if not a fire to live differently. This summer was my fourth time going to Uganda, and it felt like God poured gasoline on a fire that was already in my heart. Seeing the poverty in Africa has definitely left a burden on my heart, but this year witnessing the shear quantity of joy in each and every African shifted my perspective on how I live my life and what I appreciate. This experience puts people in a space to grow. For me, it has rooted in me the desire to love relentlessly, serve humbly, live radically, and find joy continuously in all circumstances."
